GIVING BACK TO COMMUNITY
Latino Personas Sordas y con la Asociación de la Zona Metropolitana de DC audición , Inc ( LDHHAMDC ) le encantaría la oportunidad de devolver a nuestros miembros de la comunidad que nos apoyan durante todos estos años y que algunas de las grandes organizaciones que tocan las vidas de otros . En el pasado, LDHHAMDC hizo lo mejor que podían ayudar a las organizaciones de sordos en pequeñas cantidades . Si bien mantener nuestras manos cansadas, cuánto LDHHAMDC podría ofrecer a las organizaciones que solicitaron nuestra ayuda.
Latino Deaf and Hard of Hearing Association of the Metropolitan DC Area, Inc (LDHHAMDC) would love the opportunity to give back to our community members who support us for all these years and to some of the great organizations that touch the lives of others. In the past, LDHHAMDC did the best they could help to the deaf organizations in small amounts. While it keep our hands tired, how much LDHHAMDC could offer to those organizations who requested our help.

Donate a check of $200 dollars to LAVOSI Submitted by ADM - Sat, March 29, 2015 Sofia Siliezar's statement: As of July 2014, Dr. Barbara White who is a friend of Alvaro Ernesto De Leon Espinoza contacted Sofia Siliezar (former LDHHAMDC Secretary 2013 -2015) and Danilo Torres (former LDHHAMDC President 2013 - 2015) if they could help and invite Alvaro to come to their general meeting on Gallaudet University campus. Danilo and Sofia only helped to make it happen at their General Meeting while Alvaro was a special guest speaker. Alvaro used video in his presentation for Las Voces de Silencio (LAVOSI). After his presentation was finalized, Sofia who is originally from Guatemala went forward to make a motion. Alvaro was supported by a generous grant from LDHHAMDC. Current members and board members voted in favor of a motion from Sofia. Motion had passed. Alvaro received a check of $200 dollars from the LDHHAMDC organization. A donation check helped cover school supplies, education and etc at Deaf School Guatemala. Right now, so far Sofia can say she supports Alvaro De Leon and his goals for Deaf School Guatemala to keep growing more Deaf opportunities and keep recognizing in the country that the Deaf Community is not an item.
